Synopsis - En route to Farpoint station to pick up the rest of the Enterprise-D's first crew, the ship encounters a super race who call themselves the Q. The Q question the crew of their humanity and their right to be out among the stars, in his own type of trial (which we learn is not fully resolved until the series finale #277-278 "All Good Things"). Q finally decides to test them on their first mission at Farpoint station. While waiting for the Enterprise at Farpoint, both Commander Riker and Dr. Crusher find their wishes materializing before their eyes.
