Synopsis - The Enterprise responds to a distress signal from its sister ship the USS Yamato in the Neutral Zone, which shortly after their arrival explodes. After reviewing the Yamato's logs, Picard undertakes it's mission: the search for Iconia. However the Enterprise then begins to experience similar problems. Also in the area is a Romulan Bird of Prey. The Iconians are later reffered to in DS9 #496 "To The Death".
